Caregiving Resources Part II... August 2024

Greetings Village,

As a follow-up from July’s newsletter, August’s newsletter contains resources in Minnesota for those of you who are caregivers to your loved ones, and for those who are aging and are planning to live longer in your homes. Please feel free to reach out with any questions after perusing these links.

And again, a BIG thank you to my mom, Lynda, whose 3-ring binder entitled “Caregiving Plan” which includes all of these resources I am continuing to share with you.

Moving Services

Rose’s Daughters: https://www.rosesdaughters.com/

“Rose’s Daughters is a move management company based in Bloomington, MN. Founded in 2002, Rose’s Daughters has downsized, uncluttered, organized and moved thousands of people in various situations of living in the Twin Cities and surrounding area. Rose’s Daughters is a member of the National Association of Senior Move Managers (NASMM). They continue to do for their clients what a daughter would do for a parent.”

Bridging: https://bridging.org/give-stuff/

“Bridging offers fee-based residential pick-ups! For a flat fee of $125, Bridging will pick up your donation - whether it is a few pieces or a whole household of furniture! Many of our donors work together with neighbors and friends, combining their donation and splitting the pick-up cost.”

Meat and Potatoes Organizing: https://meatandpotatoesorganizing.com/

“Our Team of Organizers will… Provide A Fresh Perspective, Create Custom Solutions, Aid In Decision Making, and Improve Your Quality Of Life.”

As caregivers and actively aging persons, it is important to realize the many services that are out there for us, to enhance not only the quality of our own life as we age, but those who are our loved ones, and caregivers.

I hope these resources will be beneficial to you and your loved ones. Again, please reach out with any questions. And lastly, thank you to my mom who is aging with grace and planning for our future.

Warmly,

Lesley
