Greetings Village,
How do you feel about snow days?
One thing I love about Minnesota is that we get snow days that interrupt the mundane day-to-day activities that often keep us over-scheduled and busy.
I love a snow day because it gives me the chance to breathe, change up my day, and have some down time. When I wake up on a snow day I actually start the day with more energy, knowing that I don’t have my normal schedule or to-do list, and everything (well almost everything, i.e. hockey)
gets canceled and I can do what I want.
I feel most of us are always wishing for more time to do this or that, and I feel a snow day is just that . . .
the gift of time.
Do you love a “snow day” or do you dread them?
If you do dread them, I am curious why?
Is it the lack of control, the disruption to your routine, the fear of boredom, or something else?
I feel that snow days give me an extra day to check-off a house chore, catch up with friends, play games, do a puzzle, or binge watch Netflix. I just love hunkering down with my family, and spending the day doing what each one of us wants to do.
What did you do this past week on the “snow day?”
With much love and gratitude,
Lesley
P.S. If we get another snow day, how might you spend it? I’d love to hear your ideas!
